Terms of service

These terms apply when you use Background.ai (the “service”). By uploading an image you agree to them.

Your images and results

• You keep all rights to the images you upload and to the results. You may use the results for personal and commercial purposes.
• You give us permission to store and process your images only to provide the service. Images uploaded without an account are deleted after 24 hours. Images saved to your account are kept until you delete them.
• You confirm that you own each image you upload or have permission to use it.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to upload illegal content, content that infringes someone else’s rights, or images of people that you are not allowed to share. Do not try to disrupt the service, get around its limits, or access it with automated tools except through an official API when one is offered.

The service

Background.ai is provided “as is”. Results are produced automatically by an AI model and may not always be perfect. We may change, limit or pause the service, for example for maintenance or to prevent abuse.

Accounts

You can preview results without an account. Downloading results needs an account, which you create with your email address. We send login links to that address, so keep access to it secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Paid plans

Downloading full-resolution results requires a paid plan. Online checkout is not open yet. Pricing and billing terms will be added here before anyone is charged.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Background.ai is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service grows. The date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
